Bachelor Buttons

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup butter
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 2 cups flour, sifted
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup cherries, cut into small pieces
• 1/2 cup coconut
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• 2 add egg and mix well.
• 3 add sifted flour, salt and soda.
• 4 mix well.
• 5 combine coconut, chopped nuts and cherries and add to mixture.
• 6 mix well.
• 7 drop on greased cookie sheets from teaspoon.
• 8 bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
