Cranberry Shockers

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 cream shortening, butter, and sugars in a large bowl with a mixer. add eggs and extract, and beat until smooth.
  • 3 add baking soda and 1 cup of flour. stir with wooden spoon. add 1 cup of flour and stir until smooth. add the last cup of flour and stir. add walnuts, dried cranberries, and chocolate chips until incorporated.
  • 4 grease pan and drop dough by using rounded table spoon measurement. bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 5 remove from oven, let cool on pan for 2 minutes, and then transfer to wire rack.
