Cranberry-topped Brie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 8 ounces brie round
  • 1/2 cup cranberry orange sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • cracker
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries or 2 cups frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 325º.
  • 2 place cheese on cookie sheet and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until softened.
  • 3 spoon cranberry orange sauce over cheese and sprinkle with almonds.
  • 4 bake 5 minutes longer or until sauce is heated.
  • 5 serve with crackers.
  • 6 to make the cranberry orange sauce:
  • 7 wash cranberries.
  • 8 in 2 quart saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch.
  • 9 stir in water and heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • 10 stir in cranberries; heat to boiling.
  • 11 simmer uncovered 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until cranberries pop.
  • 12 stir in marmalade.
  • 13 serve sauce warm or chilled.
