Chilly Cherry Pomegranate Pie

Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups oreo cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 (85 g) package jello cherry jelly powder
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 1 1/2 cups cool whip topping, thawed, divided
- 4 oreo cookies, cut in half
Recipe
- 1 mix baking crumbs and butter in a 9-inch pie plate; press onto bottom and up sides of pie plate.
- 2 add boiling water to jelly powder, stir 2 minutes until completely dissolved. stir in pomegranate juice. refrigerate 30 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- 3 whisk in 1 cup cool whip until well blended. pour into crust (filling will come near top of crust). carefully place in freezer.
- 4 freeze 4 hours or until firm. top with remaining cool whip and place cookies in the center just before serving.
- 5 substitute: prepare, using any other flavor of jello powder, such as strawberry or raspberry.
