Ingredients

- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 lb dates, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- confectioners' sugar, to taste
Recipe
- 1 sift flour, baking powder, and salt twice.
- 2 add oher ingredients and mix well together.
- 3 bake in a shallow greased tin for 30 minutes at 375 deg f.
- 4 when cooked, sprinkle well with icing sugar.
- 5 cut into fingers when cool.
