Chocolate Pecan Slice

Ingredients
- 100 g butter
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 100 g butter
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 1/2 cups pecan nuts
- 50 -100 g dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 base:.
- 2 cream butter & sugar together.
- 3 sift together the flour and cocoa and add to creamed mixture.
- 4 press into a baking paper lined sponge roll/slice tin.
- 5 bake at 170'c for 10 minutes.
- 6 filling:.
- 7 bring all ingredients, except the nuts, to the boil in a pot.
- 8 simmer for at least 10 minutes (the longer it cooks, the firmer it sets).
- 9 pour over cooked base.
- 10 cover with the pecan nuts.
- 11 topping:.
- 12 melt together the chocolate and butter.
- 13 spread over the nuts.
- 14 slice when cooled.
