Chocolate Raspberry Crumb Bars

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels, divided
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup seedless raspberry jam

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • 3 in a large bowl, beat butter until creamy.
  • 4 beat in flour, sugar, and salt until well mixed.
  • 5 with floured fingers, press 1 1/4 cup crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared pan; reserving remaining crumb mixture.
  • 6 bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • 7 combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels and sweetened condensed milk in a small heavy duty saucepan.
  • 8 melt over low heat until smooth.
  • 9 spread over hot crust.
  • 10 stir nuts into reserved crumb mixture; sprinkle evenly over chocolate filling.
  • 11 drop teaspoonfuls of raspberry jam over crumb mixture.
  • 12 sprinkle with remaining semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
  • 13 continue baking for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is set.
  • 14 cool completely on wire rack.
