Death By Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

- 2 (16 ounce) packages baker's semi-sweet chocolate, divided
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups chopped nuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°.
- 2 coarsely chop 8 squares of the chocolate; set aside.
- 3 microwave remaining 8 squares of chocolate in large microwavable bowl on high for 1-2 minutes.
- 4 stir until chocolate is melted and smooth.
- 5 stir in sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla.
- 6 stir in flour and baking powder.
- 7 stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts.
- 8 drop by 1/4 cupfuls on to ungreased cookie sheet.
- 9 bake 12-13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch.
- 10 cool on cookie sheet 1 minute then transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
