Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup cocoa
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup evaporated milk
• 1/2 cup crisco
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

• 1 cookies:.
• 2 sift dry ingredients together and add shortening, milk, vanilla and eggs; mix well.
• 3 drop on very lightly greased cookie sheet, 1 tablespoon at a time, spreading with back of spoon to make them long or round.
• 4 bake 5 minutes at 425.
• 5 filling:.
• 6 beat 5 minutes with electric beater and spread between 2 cookies.
