Devil's Food Cream Cheese Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup softened butter or 1/4 cup margarine
• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1 egg
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 (18 1/2 ounce) box devil's food cake mix

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and cream cheese.
• 2 blend in egg and vanilla extract.
• 3 add dry cake mix, 1/3 at a time, mixing well after each addition.
• 4 cover; chill 30 minutes.
• 5 drop by scant teaspoonsful onto ungreased baking sheet.
• 6 bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
• 7 cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
