Chocolate Chip Meringue Brownies

- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed, divided
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
- 3 egg whites, room temperature
Recipe
- 1 combine flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- 2 stir in butter and blend well.
- 3 press mixture into ungreased 9x13 pan and sprinkle with chocolate and butterscotch morsels.
- 4 beat egg whites at high speed until foamy.
- 5 gradually add 1 cup packed brown sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- 6 spread meringue over chocolate layer.
- 7 bake at 375f for 18 - 20 minutes.
