Chocolate Chip Meringue Brownies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed, divided
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
  • 3 egg whites, room temperature

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • 2 stir in butter and blend well.
  • 3 press mixture into ungreased 9x13 pan and sprinkle with chocolate and butterscotch morsels.
  • 4 beat egg whites at high speed until foamy.
  • 5 gradually add 1 cup packed brown sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  • 6 spread meringue over chocolate layer.
  • 7 bake at 375f for 18 - 20 minutes.
