Crinkle-top Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Recipe
- 1 melt 1 cup chocolate chips in microwave.
- 2 stir until smooth and set aside.
- 3 beat butter and sugar in a small mixing bowl, until crumbly. (about 2 min.).
- 4 add egg whites and vanilla and beat well.
- 5 stir in melted chocolate.
- 6 combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 7 gradually add to butter mixture alternately with water.
- 8 stir in remaining chocolate chips.
- 9 cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- 10 shape dough into 1 inch balls.
- 11 roll in confectioners sugar.
- 12 place 2 inches apart on baking sheets coated with nonstick spray.
- 13 bake at 350 degrees for 10-20 minutes.
- 14 place on wire racks to cool.
