Almond Crescents

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped almonds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 325°f.
  • 2 cream the butter and sugar together then add the egg yolk and almond extract, blend well.
  • 3 add the flour, mix well to combine then stir in the nuts.
  • 4 form the dough into small crescents about 2 1/2 inches long.
  • 5 bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 6 cool for 10 minutes and then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
