Candied Pecans

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 6 cups pecans
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 2 whip the egg , the sugar, and the vanilla in a large bowl. add the pecans in the bowl and lightly toss. you want it to look as though there might not be enough mixture to coat the nuts; as little liquid as possible.
  • 3 spread nuts into a single layer on a cookie sheet. toast for ten to fifteen minutes, checking often so the nuts don't burn. let cool; store in a zip-lock bag.
