- 6 cups pecans
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- 2 whip the egg , the sugar, and the vanilla in a large bowl. add the pecans in the bowl and lightly toss. you want it to look as though there might not be enough mixture to coat the nuts; as little liquid as possible.
- 3 spread nuts into a single layer on a cookie sheet. toast for ten to fifteen minutes, checking often so the nuts don't burn. let cool; store in a zip-lock bag.
