Cranberry Cashew Jumbles

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup salted cashews, coarsely chopped
  • 1 (5 ounce) package sweetened dried cranberries (craisins)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 combine brown sugar and butter in large mixer bowl.
  • 3 beat at medium speed, until creamy (2 to 3 minutes).
  • 4 add sour cream, egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
  • 5 reduce speed to low; add flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  • 6 beat until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes).
  • 7 stir in cashews and cranberries by hand.
  • 8 drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 9 bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 10 cool completely.
  • 11 stir together powdered sugar and orange juice in small bowl.
  • 12 drizzle over cooled cookies.
