Cookies N Cream Cake

Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups cake flour, sifted
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 egg whites
- 10 oreo cookies, crushed
- 1 cup crisco
- 5 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f and grease and flour 2 9-inch layer pans.
- 2 sift flour; resift flour with baking powder and salt and set aside.
- 3 cream together crisco and sugar until fluffy.
- 4 divide flour into 3 sections and add to cake batter, alternating with milk.
- 5 add vanilla.
- 6 in separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
- 7 fold egg whites into cake batter.
- 8 fold crushed oreos into cake batter.
- 9 pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- 10 cool in pans for 10 minutes, remove, and cool completely on wire wracks.
- 11 frosting: beat crisco until smooth.
- 12 gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk.
- 13 add vanilla.
- 14 add any additional milk until desired consistency is met.
- 15 frost cake and sprinkle with crushed oreos.
