Craig's Grandma's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 5 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 3 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 1/2 cups shortening
• 1 (15 ounce) can applesauce
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups packed brown sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 6 cups oatmeal
• 1 cup milk chocolate chips
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 375°.
• 2 mix baking soda into applesauce.
• 3 cream together the shortening and sugars.
• 4 add eggs, milk and applesauce.
• 5 sift together the dry ingredients.
• 6 add to the sugar mixture.
• 7 add oatmeal and chocolate chips.
• 8 bake for 13-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
