Chocolate Filled Bonbons

Ingredients
- Servings: 48
- 3/4 cup lard
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
- 3 -4 dozen chocolate rosettes (rosebuds)
Recipe
- 1 cream lard, beat in sugar.
- 2 add eggs, and flavourings.
- 3 mix dry ingredients and add.
- 4 form into 1 inch balls.
- 5 press each ball around a chocolate rosebud.
- 6 bake 12 mins on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350f.
