Cinnamon Toffee Bars

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 lb chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 set oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease a 12x18-in jelly roll pan.
  • 3 cook butter and brown sugar over low heat in a saucepan, until it comes to a boil; remove from heat, and cool.
  • 4 in a med bowl, stir together the butter mixture, eggs and vanilla.
  • 5 sift flour baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
  • 6 stir into the egg mixture until well blended.
  • 7 stir in pecans.
  • 8 spread the batter onto prepared baking sheet.
  • 9 bake for 25 mins.
  • 10 immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the whole sheet.
  • 11 let stand for 5 mins.
  • 12 spread the chocolate evenly over the entire surface.
  • 13 cut into squares.
