Cinnamon Toffee Bars

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 lb chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 set oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease a 12x18-in jelly roll pan.
- 3 cook butter and brown sugar over low heat in a saucepan, until it comes to a boil; remove from heat, and cool.
- 4 in a med bowl, stir together the butter mixture, eggs and vanilla.
- 5 sift flour baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- 6 stir into the egg mixture until well blended.
- 7 stir in pecans.
- 8 spread the batter onto prepared baking sheet.
- 9 bake for 25 mins.
- 10 immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the whole sheet.
- 11 let stand for 5 mins.
- 12 spread the chocolate evenly over the entire surface.
- 13 cut into squares.
