Chocolate Hazelnut Biscuits/ Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 g butter, chopped
  • 250 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup roasted hazelnuts
  • vanilla ice cream, to serve

Recipe

  • 1 prehat oven to 200°c (400°f) and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  • 2 combine butter and chopped dark chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth and combined.
  • 3 transfer to a large bowl, add eggs and sugar. stir until combined.
  • 4 sift flour and cocoa together over the chocolate mixture, then gently fold through.
  • 5 add choc chips and hazelnuts, stir until combined.
  • 6 drop tablespoonfuls of biscuit mixture onto baking trays, allowing room for spreading.
  • 7 bake for 10 - 12 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
