Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups margarine, softened
• 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 3 cups quick oats
• 1/4 cup sugar

Recipe

• 1 cream margarine and brown sugar.
• 2 combine flour and baking soda.
• 3 add to creamed mixture, a little at a time, stirring.
• 4 add oats and mix well.
• 5 shape into 1-1/2 inch balls; roll in the sugar.
• 6 place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
• 7 flatten with a glass.
• 8 bake at 350* for 10 minutes or until golden.
• 9 cool on wire racks.
