Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 350°f.
- 2 in a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- 3 add in the eggs and the vanilla extract.
- 4 in a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and stir using a fork or wisk to blend.
- 5 gradually mix the flour mixture into the creamed mixture. once combined, stir in the chocolate chips.
- 6 using a small scoop, drop the cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets. bake approximately 8 minutes. cookies will be soft but will harden once cooled.
- 7 let cool for a few minutes to harden, then remove to a wire rack to completely cool.
