Dark Chocolate Shortbread

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter (no substitutions)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 ounces chocolate, melted
Recipe
- 1 mix sugar and butter. cream well.
- 2 add vanilla.
- 3 mix dry ingredients.
- 4 add gradually to creamed mixture.
- 5 knead well.
- 6 shape into two 9 inch logs.
- 7 cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate from one to 24 hours.
- 8 preheat overn 350f.
- 9 slice into 1/4 inch slices and bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheets for 20 minutes.
- 10 drizzle tops with melted chocolate while still warm.
