Butter Biscuits

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick of butter)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • 2 pour bisquick into a large bowl.
  • 3 while still firm cut 1/4 cup (or half a stick) of butter, and set aside the remainder of stick, this will be melted later to top the biscuits.
  • 4 cut 1/4 cup of butter in small pieces and mix into bisquick until coated.
  • 5 add milk and mix until dough is formed.
  • 6 dust surface with bisquick and place dough on dusted surface and roll or pat dough to about a 1/2 inch thickness.
  • 7 use a cutter, or if you do not have one (like me) use a circular drinking glass to cut out biscuits from dough.
  • 8 place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 9 bake for 9 minutes.
  • 10 after removing from oven immediately top biscuits with melted butter from the remainder of the stick.
  • 11 enjoy.
