Chocolate Hearts

Ingredients
- 120 g butter
- 200 g liquid honey
- 2 eggs
- 100 g semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, grated
- 200 g rye flour
- 150 g whole wheat flour
- 14 g baking powder
- 200 g semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
- 100 g unsalted butter (or use 2 packages of oetker chocofix in place of chocolate and butter)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325°f.
- 2 grease a baking sheet, line it with waxed paper and grease again.
- 3 cream butter.
- 4 gradually add honey, eggs and chocolate.
- 5 beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
- 6 in a separate bowl, combine the flours and baking powder.
- 7 add 2/3 of the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
- 8 knead the rest fo the flour into the dough.
- 9 chill for 30 minutes (makes dough easier to roll our).
- 10 roll out dough on a flour surface to a 1/4 " or 6 mm thickness.
- 11 cut out heart shapes in 2 sizes.
- 12 place on prepared baking sheet.
- 13 bake on middle rack for 10 minutes.

- 15 soften chocofix as directed on package.

- 17 combine chocolate and butter in a double boiler.
- 18 stir constantly until melted and smooth.
- 19 decorate cookies by placing small cookies onto the large cookies.
