Danish Spice Bars

Ingredients
- Servings: 40
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon clove
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts
Recipe
- 1 oven 350* grease 15x10" pan.
- 2 melt marg, remove from heat.
- 3 add sugar and beat until smooth.
- 4 add sour cream, vanilla and egg.
- 5 beat smooth.
- 6 add rest ingredients, stirring in dates and nuts.
- 7 spread on baking sheet.
- 8 bake for 30 minutes.
- 9 cool on rack and cut into diamond shapes.
