Chocolate Chip Cookies W/o Baking Soda

Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar or 3/4 cup powdered sugar, for thicker cookies
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder (optional)
- 8 ounces chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 set oven to 350 for light, nonstick pans. 325 for dark. put pans on top rack or alternate middle and top halfway through so the bottoms don't burn.
- 2 heat butter for 15 seconds or leave out during the day.
- 3 add all but the chocolate chips into the bowl and mix.
- 4 add the chocolate chips and mix.
- 5 start dropping balls of cookie dough and bake.
