Anisette Cookies

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 7 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon anise flavoring
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit (175 degrees celsius).
  • 2 in a large bowl, beat eggs.
  • 3 blend in vegetable oil, orange juice, almond extract, vanilla extract, lemon extract, and anise flavoring.
  • 4 sift the flour with the sugar and baking powder.

  • 10 place finished knots 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 11 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit (175 degrees celsius) for 15 minutes.
  • 12 bottoms should slightly brown.
  • 13 cool cookies on a wire rack.
  • 14 if desired ice with confectioner's sugar icing.
