Buttercrunch Matzo

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 40
  • 10 matzos (1 box)
  • 1/2 lb butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 12 ounces dark chocolate (2 cups chips or chop up a chocolate bar)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f spread matzos on a cookie sheet so they are touching but not overlapping. toast 3-5 minutes.
  • 2 melt butter and sugar together until sugar is dissolved. bring a boil, and boil 3 minutes.
  • 3 drizzle toffee over matzos and bake another 5 minutes.
  • 4 sprinkle chocolate over hot matzos and spread with an offset spatula as it melts.
  • 5 when cool and chocolate is set, break into 2-3" pieces. keeps 2 weeks in an airtight container.
