Chocolate Chip Shortbread

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chip
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • icing sugar, for rolling

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 in a large bowl beat 1/2 cup icing sugar, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. stir in flour and chocolate chips, mix until dough forms.
  • 3 shape into 1 inch balls, place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4 bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until set but not brown.
  • 5 remove immediately, cool slightly and roll icing sugar. cool completely and re roll in more icing sugar.
