Chocolate Chip Toffee Millerbars

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (10 ounce) package skor english toffee bits, divided

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • 3 in a large bowl, mix together the flour and brown sugar.
  • 4 cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 5 add the egg and mix well.
  • 6 stir in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips.
  • 7 reserve 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture, and press the rest into the greased pan.
  • 8 bake for 10 minutes.
  • 9 pour the condensed milk evenly over the hot crumb crust.
  • 10 sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits.
  • 11 sprinkle with the remaining crumb crust mixture and the other 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the top.
  • 12 bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 13 remove from the oven and sprinkle with the rest of the toffee bits (1/4 cup).
  • 14 cool on a wire rack and cut into bars.
  • 15 bless miller with every bite!
