Chunky, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a small bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • 3 combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add the salt, vanilla, and eggs.
  • 5 beat until well mixed, about 1 minute.
  • 6 add flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  • 7 stir in the chocolate chips and pecans (if using).
  • 8 drop tablespoon-size balls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • 9 bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • 10 remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes.
  • 11 transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
