Cranberry-topped Brie

Ingredients

- 8 ounces brie round
- 1/2 cup cranberry orange sauce
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
- cracker
- 2 cups fresh cranberries or 2 cups frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 325º.
- 2 place cheese on cookie sheet and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until softened.
- 3 spoon cranberry orange sauce over cheese and sprinkle with almonds.
- 4 bake 5 minutes longer or until sauce is heated.
- 5 serve with crackers.
- 6 to make the cranberry orange sauce:
- 7 wash cranberries.
- 8 in 2 quart saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch.
- 9 stir in water and heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
- 10 stir in cranberries; heat to boiling.
- 11 simmer uncovered 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until cranberries pop.
- 12 stir in marmalade.
- 13 serve sauce warm or chilled.
