Caramel Cups

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 24 anzac biscuits, purchased at supermarket (cookies)
  • 395 ml sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g dark chocolate, melted

Recipe

  • 1 pre heat oven to 180 degrees.
  • 2 lay a cookie over each hole of a 2 x 12 hole patty pan tray.
  • 3 place in oven for 3 minutes to soften biscuits.
  • 4 remove from oven and gently press them down into holes to shape them.
  • 5 set aside to cool.
  • 6 stir constantly the sweetened condensed milk, sugar and butter in a pot over low heat for 15 minutes.
  • 7 stir till thick and golden.
  • 8 fill each tartlet shell with caramel.
  • 9 it is hot so take care with this step.
  • 10 bake for 5 minutes.
  • 11 cool completely.
  • 12 smooth top with melted chocolate.
