Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional) or 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 in a medium sized bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together until well blended.
- 3 in a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients. again, until well blended.
- 4 pour wet ingredients on top of dry ones and mix very well. (if you have to, mush with your hands.).
- 5 by rounded tablespoon, drop (or shake) two lumps of dough (on top of each other) onto ungreased cookie sheet; about one or two inches apart.
- 6 bake for 10-15 minutes or until edges are slightly browned. (if you take the cookies out just a little before they're done then let them sit on the pan for a few minutes, then you get this amazing chewy/soft combo!).
