Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional) or 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 in a medium sized bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together until well blended.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients. again, until well blended.
  • 4 pour wet ingredients on top of dry ones and mix very well. (if you have to, mush with your hands.).
  • 5 by rounded tablespoon, drop (or shake) two lumps of dough (on top of each other) onto ungreased cookie sheet; about one or two inches apart.
  • 6 bake for 10-15 minutes or until edges are slightly browned. (if you take the cookies out just a little before they're done then let them sit on the pan for a few minutes, then you get this amazing chewy/soft combo!).
