Chuppachuk Brownies

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup coarsley chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sifted icing sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted

Recipe

  • 1 line an 8" square pan with foil; lightly butter bottom and sides.
  • 2 melt butter and chocolate over low heat.
  • 3 cool 2 minutes.
  • 4 stir in sugar and vanilla.
  • 5 add eggs, one at a time, stirring until smooth.
  • 6 add flour and salt; stir in nuts.
  • 7 pour into prepared pan.
  • 8 bake at 350°f for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • 9 cool.
  • 10 lift brownies from pan by foil edges and frost.
  • 11 to make icing, beat butter, vanilla, sugar and egg in a small bowl until smooth.
  • 12 add warm chocolate and beat until smooth.
  • 13 spread on brownies and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 14 peel away foil and slice.
