Chuppachuk Brownies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup coarsley chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sifted icing sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
Recipe
- 1 line an 8" square pan with foil; lightly butter bottom and sides.
- 2 melt butter and chocolate over low heat.
- 3 cool 2 minutes.
- 4 stir in sugar and vanilla.
- 5 add eggs, one at a time, stirring until smooth.
- 6 add flour and salt; stir in nuts.
- 7 pour into prepared pan.
- 8 bake at 350°f for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 9 cool.
- 10 lift brownies from pan by foil edges and frost.
- 11 to make icing, beat butter, vanilla, sugar and egg in a small bowl until smooth.
- 12 add warm chocolate and beat until smooth.
- 13 spread on brownies and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 14 peel away foil and slice.
