Chocolate Wafers

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter, softened (no substitutions)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 in a bowl, cream butter and sugars, add milk and egg.
- 2 mix well.
- 3 combine dry ingredients in separate bowl, and gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- 4 mix well.
- 5 cover and let chill until firm, or about two hours.
- 6 rolled chilled dough on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
- 7 cut with a 1 1/2 cookie cutter.
- 8 place 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet.
- 9 bake at 375° for 5- 6 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- 10 let cool on wire racks.
