Colossal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup golden brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups dark chocolate chips

Recipe

• 1 blend butter, shortening and sugars.
• 2 mix in egg and vanilla.
• 3 stir in dry ingredients, then chocolate.
• 4 chill for at least one hour.
• 5 use a large ice cream scoop and form balls of cookie dough.
• 6 place on an ungreased baking sheet.
• 7 bake at 350* for 13-15 minutes or until cookies are set and just starting to brown.
• 8 cool.
