Chocolate Brownies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 220 g dark chocolate melts
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 90 g pecan nuts

Recipe

  • 1 line a 25cm square slice tin with baking paper.
  • 2 pre-heat oven to 180 c.
  • 3 place chocolate and butter in a double boiler until just melted.
  • 4 take saucepan off the stove and stir in vanilla, sugar, beaten eggs, flour & nuts. stir until mixture just comes together. pour into tin and level off.
  • 5 bake 25-30 minutes until mixture is set but not dry.
  • 6 don't overcook! the top should be soft to touch - it will crisp up as it cools.
  • 7 cut when cool.
