Choose Your Filling Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• chocolate chips (optional) or butterscotch chips (optional) or jelly (optional) or marmalade (optional) or nuts (optional) or candy sprinkles (optional) or m&m's plain chocolate candy (optional)

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
• 2 whip all ingredients in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
• 3 drop by heaping teaspoons onto sprayed cookie sheet.
• 4 add fillings to the center of each cookie as desired.
• 5 bake in oven for 10-13 minutes or until bottoms are golden.
