Cherry Snowballs

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 16 ounces candied cherries
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
Recipe
- 1 blend together butter, 1/2 cup icing sugar and vanilla.
- 2 then add flour, salt and chopped pecans.
- 3 mix well to form a dough.
- 4 chill dough thoroughly.
- 5 drain candied cherries well.
- 6 form dough around each cherry to form a small ball.
- 7 bake at 400 for 10- 15 minutes.
- 8 (dough should not brown).
- 9 roll in icing sugar while warm and again when cool.
