Cherry Snowballs

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 16 ounces candied cherries
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar

Recipe

  • 1 blend together butter, 1/2 cup icing sugar and vanilla.
  • 2 then add flour, salt and chopped pecans.
  • 3 mix well to form a dough.
  • 4 chill dough thoroughly.
  • 5 drain candied cherries well.
  • 6 form dough around each cherry to form a small ball.
  • 7 bake at 400 for 10- 15 minutes.
  • 8 (dough should not brown).
  • 9 roll in icing sugar while warm and again when cool.
