Crack Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease and flour a 9" x 13" pan.
  • 3 in a large saucepan, melt the butter.
  • 4 remove from heat; stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 5 beat in cocoa, flour and salt.
  • 6 if desired, add semi-sweet chocolate chips and mix well.
  • 7 spread batter into prepared pan.
  • 8 bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. do not overcook.
  • 9 note: i used semi-sweet chocolate chunks and thought those made the brownies just divine! they're good right out of the oven and even better the next day.
