Crack Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease and flour a 9" x 13" pan.
- 3 in a large saucepan, melt the butter.
- 4 remove from heat; stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- 5 beat in cocoa, flour and salt.
- 6 if desired, add semi-sweet chocolate chips and mix well.
- 7 spread batter into prepared pan.
- 8 bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. do not overcook.
- 9 note: i used semi-sweet chocolate chunks and thought those made the brownies just divine! they're good right out of the oven and even better the next day.
