Brutzel Bars

Ingredients
- 3 -4 large matzoh crackers or 1 package saltine
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar or 1 cup sucanat
- 1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans or 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- nonstick cooking spray
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 line a cookie sheet with"sides" or jellyroll pan with aluminum foil.
- 3 make sure there are no holes or room for liquid to leak out.
- 4 lightly spray the foil with cooking spray.
- 5 arrange matzoh or saltines (whole not crushed) in a single layer over foil.
- 6 in saucepan combine sugar and butter and bring to a boil.
- 7 as soon as mixture boils, remove from heat and pour gently over crackers.
- 8 sprinkle nuts over crackers if desired.
- 9 bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- 10 remove from oven and rearrange any crackers that have moved.
- 11 immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over crackers and wait 1-3 minutes until softened and spread out evenly with a knife.
- 12 cool and then chill in refridgerator for several hours.
- 13 break apart then store in a sealed container or jar.
- 14 this candy tastes just like skor or heath bars!
