Buffalo Chips

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup solid shortening
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups quick oats (uncooked)
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a large mixing bowl, cream butter and shortening.
  • 3 add sugars, vanilla, and eggs. mix well.
  • 4 stir in oats, flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • 5 when well-blended, stir in coconut, pecans, rice krispies, and chocolate chips.
  • 6 when batter is thoroughly mixed, measure 1/4 c for each cookie on a large ungreased baking sheet.
  • 7 bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden. for a crisper cookie, bake 12 to 15 minutes.
  • 8 allow cookies to cool slightly on baking sheet before removing.
