Charmie's Soft Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup margarine or 3/4 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

• 1 cream margarine or butter with sugar.
• 2 add eggs and vanilla and blend well.
• 3 sift together dry ingredients and add to butter/sugar mixture.
• 4 chill at least 1-1/2 hours.
• 5 roll on floured board to 1/2 inch think.
• 6 cut with desired cookie cutters.
• 7 bake at 400º 8-10 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.
• 8 cool and frost with your favorite frosting!
