Cluck-a-doodle-doggie Treats

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley sprigs, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked chicken liver, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
  • 2 combine flour and cornmeal in a bowl.
  • 3 in a large bowl add the egg, oil and broth and mix.
  • 4 add the flour mixture about 1/3 at a time and mix well between additions.
  • 5 add chopped chicken livers until well incorporated into a stiff dough.
  • 6 turn out dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for about 1 minute.
  • 7 roll out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  • 8 cut into shapes using a cookie cutter dipped in flour.
  • 9 place on greased cookie sheets.
  • 10 bake treats for about 15 minutes or until firm.
