Densities (richest Chocolate Squares)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pot, on low heat, melt the chocolate. reserve.
  • 2 preheat the oven to 350°f.
  • 3 in a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • 4 add the eggs one at a time, beating well between additions.
  • 5 in a separate bowl, sift together flour and salt.
  • 6 beat the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
  • 7 stir in the cooled melted chocolate and vanilla.
  • 8 pour the batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • 9 bake for 40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the side comes out clean.
