Candied Pecans

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pecans, shelled
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 275°f.
  • 2 with an electric mixer,beat egg until stiff peaks form.
  • 3 add the sugar and vanilla and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
  • 4 line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
  • 5 put pecans on an even layer on the sheet.
  • 6 pour mixture over pecans and stir to coat.
  • 7 cook 15-20 minutes until coating has hardened.
  • 8 put on plate to cool.
  • 9 store in airtight container.
